During this step, you must locate the mitral valve within one of the long axis slices.
In both the end-diastolic and end-systolic images, which are displayed at the top of the window, you must draw a line between the two points where the mitral valve leaflets are attached to the left ventricle. To draw a line, click, drag and release between the end points, as shown in the illustration below.
To examine the motion of the valves, you can use the timeline to switch between frames of the long-axis cine. The selected frame is shown in the bottom pane of the window, whilst the end-diastolic and end-systolic images remain visible in the pane above. Once you have located the mitral valve at both end-diastole and end-systole, click on the next stage of the workflow.
